Environmental Club Bylaws and Standards BRHS

 

Purpose:

• To help improve the school and community’s influence on the natural world.

 

Membership and Dues Information:

• Prospective members must submit a club application and have their applications reviewed for membership.

  • The application will contain contact information, personal statements, etc.

• Members of the club will purchase a t-shirt.

  • Club memorabilia will be voted on by all active club members

 

Officer Positions:

• President: Courtney Gape

  • Duties: leader of club meetings, the final vote in a tie, club representative, and creates powerpoints for meetings.

• Vice Presidents: Karissa Bolle

  • Duties: leader of club meetings when the president is unavailable, in charge of social events, and communicates with club members about upcoming events/meetings.

• Publicist: Grace Hill

  • Duties: In charge of all social media, maintains website, and is in charge of member outreach.

• Treasurer: Karissa Bolle

  • Duties: receives and processes all funds, keeps receipts, and logs monetary activity of the club, manages club expenses as directed.

• Secretary: Zachary Booth

  • Duties:  records minutes of club meetings, files records for club, and takes attendance at meetings.

Meetings:

• Weekly meetings

  • Every Monday

  • Room 602

  • After school

• Advisor Responsibilities

  • Supervise and attend meetings

  • Communicate with club officers about events and meetings

  • Explain and clarify school policies that affect the club

  • Provide guidance and direction in club goals

  • Assist club treasurer

  • Inform club members of unacceptable behavior and consequences

Membership Requirements:

• Attend at least 5 meetings per quarter.

  • If unable to attend at least 5, there will be a request for meeting absence form.

• Must attend two club events per semester.

  • One can be recycling

  • One must be something else

• Pay club dues on time.

  • Speak with an officer if there are any issues.

• Failure to meet these requirements will result in membership termination.

  • People may re-apply at the beginning of a new semester.
